Why do the moderators presume that everyone dislikes them? As far as I am concerned the moderation team do a good job. Yes I disagree with the odd thing, but it does not mean I dislike the moderators.

See recent posts...usually by Moscow...

I don't read everything, but what I have seen involves folk seeking clarification on jobs/duties/responsibilities/obligations of mods, which has seemingly proved to be a 'sensitive' issue for some. I am still of the opinion that mods should 'de-fuse' situations and not offer inflammatory comments which perpetuates the cycle imo.
If I call a mod a cupid stunt, I expect them to defend themselves. If I disagree with their modding I expect a procedure to be followed acknowledging my grievance, not just told to 'go somewhere else if you don't like it', which has been the message a few times I think to various people.

Don't take it personally Frank...

Firstly, thanks for saying the Mods do a good job, I could not agree more and this is why I will always back them up.

It is hard sometimes because as a Mod you rarely hear positive comments, and every time we try and do something positive, certain posters seems to go out of their way to disrupt things with negative comments or just turn the whole thing into a joke; I am not sure if it's attention seeking or they just need their ego's stroking but it happens time and time again.

We are not perfect and we have never professed to be, I know speaking from my own point of view I am not on here as much as I should be, but at the end of the day I have a life and a business away from the forum and that has to come first. It is very disheartening when you log on to the same old Mod bashing post or PM day after day, especially when I think over the past ten years I have invested about seven or eight grand of my own cash into the place.

I know that other posters feel the same too about people bringing the mood down, I just wish they would post these feelings publicly instead of PM'ing me, as it makes it look as though all of this is coming from the Mods, but I respect their privacy and the right to do that.

Its a difficult subject to discuss because of differing values in life with different people, which usually lends itself to arguments as to right and wrong.
We all have our core principles, mine are miles away from the owners and moderators on this site. So be it.

Pragmatism can be an important quality.

Go on, care to develop that thought?

Accepting a position after being unable to change it can be good for the blood pressure.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference ay it.

If you take this forum as an example, much has changed even over the last twelve months and will change further as it moves from complacency into the first stages of accountability.

Within that many of our roles have changed, your role could be vital.
Blood pressure, leave that to me, I have to continue pressing buttons.

I have buttons to press too but mine are more fun, they include Edit, Move, Delete, Lock and Ban!
