Brighton could well be next season's Huddersfield, doomed from the start. Whoever they pick to replace Hughton, it has to be an experienced hand otherwise they'll be going down like a brick. They were embarrassing at our place, truly mind numbing negativity all game. the classic case of " be careful what you wish for"...

Never liked Hughton's teams, a dull Mick McCarthy, pleased to see him gone and potentially an up and coming English manager in Potter actually going to be given a chance. How often is a foreign manager replaced by an English manager in the Prem?

Glad we missed out on Locadia.

Anderlecht reached an agreement with Vincent Kompany around three weeks ago. He convinced them with a video analysis and was very keen on joining the project.
His family will move to Brussels.
Some Man City staff members might follow him.

The tide will turn.

Monk the latest to exit the St Andrews Circus. Time for Deano to get them out of the division?

Strange one, was looking forward to what Monk could do when he had the opportunity to shape his own squad.

I don't think there is any funding there to shape anything but a squad of League 1 players and academy lads, that was causing the ructions behind the scenes.

Maybe Monk will turn up at Frank Lampard's Derby County if Frank Lampard's Derby County becomes Frank Lampard's former club Derby County?

Agreed, he did well with virtually nothing last season and was not far off the top six when the points deduction hit them. Put Blues down as relegation fodder now.

His mind wil be playing tricks on him, he looks on Ole at United and thinks he was no leader, that was me.
Why cant I be the main man once again.

There is a very revealing interview on Keane and Wolves by Stephen Elliott, (Under the cosh), on YouTube

Wonder why he didn't stick around another week for compensation?

Strange world we now inhabit.

I think he will do quite well, Spurs look to have stitched up third place with the excellent signing of Ndombele.
City will walk it, with Liverpool hanging onto second.

Chelsea fourth.

Will Man Utd fans be happy with fifth, and Arsenal falling away.

First time I've heard Twitter or Facebook being referred to as politically correct! I always had the impression the vast majority of their content was the very opposite.

Whatever tactical nous or not, Lampard brings, I'm unsure who will be Chelsea's matchwinners. Hazard has earned them at least 10 points alone per season for the past 2-3 campaigns. Lose those points and you're struggling to stay in the top 6.

I expect Leicester, minus Europe, and with Rodgers being more sympathetic to the clique of players that runs things there, to have a really strong campaign.

Re Leicester, If Maguire was a Wolves player would Wolves turn down bids of 80 million for such a player?
