"For chrissygreen."
I've been away for the closed season ...just reading, not entering into debate!
Your last post on serious doubts, is, "Purely the..."Not wishing to lose syndrome!" A young soul with all the love and not the wisdom to understand about life's chance to grow.
chrissy, please allow me the freedom [age ] to say that Wolves, "this season" will be "NOWHERE" near any sort of involvement with relegation. One only needs to look at plans for OUR future to KNOW that we are in safe hands all the way across the board!
Cub development...ground improvement... new players in ...old players moved on, [hopefully with big thank you's from their previous time in Wolves employ]
chrissy you are indeed a very previleged soul to be at the age when Wolves are being "taken back to their history!"
Enjoy, "NO" love this season the ride will be amazing.

You have a very good point about the management etc, there is an expectation between them all and it could be very important for Mick to stick to a standard.
Not meaning to sound moody by that post but, this preseason has been freedom. I've been able to follow the Wolves, be happy with the goals and not bothered about the losses, as it doesn't matter. But it won't be the same next season, we'll lose the majority and it really affects my week.
Infact I know what started it. I watched that premier league review and saw us on 10 points 2nd from bottom, Hull about 14th with 16 points and Burnley 10th with like 18 points. I don't know how I must have coped with the worry, it scared me just watching it then and it's from about 9 months ago!!
It's just alot knowing how vital next season is and how it can go either way.
I'm so excited about the season yet so apprehensive. When I look at the table, I can no longer look at period of 'easy' games, just games that could go either way.
It's hard to explain, I feel a sort of uncertainty but can't really explain it.
Whatever happens though, we're in for a rollercoaster.

It's good to have you back friend. A much familiar and enjoyable place with more of the old guard returning.
Not ONE "I told you so" either, you carry yourself so well squeaks.
Can't wait for the new season. Tough as it may be, I am simply enjoying the fact that I am able to look forward, enjoy and have confidence.
You know me, I still have my issues, things I'm not happy with at wolves, but then man utd and chelski fans will feel the same, even at their level.
Despite your enlarged confidence, I would like to remind you, as your sponsor that we have two seasons remaining on our agreement. For a number of reasons, as well as superstition, your "real" league table is required for the forthcoming season! Let's see if we can win it this year!
Welcome back!

having a good chairman, chief exec, board does not guarantee prem safety
its all good having money to spend but its about building a premier league team that can compete week in week out. Now im not saying our team is a bad one but i do feel we could have spent the money we have spent so far better.
Now im sure we will survive again due to the baggies, blackpool, blackburn, bolton also being in the league.
but i do agree its going to be a good ride again this season with us doing the double over tin pot sandwell town

chrissy, just a small reminder, even in our lowly finish last season we did "NOT LOSE" the majority...won/drew20 lost 18.
Quirk, "the"...only used with a small capital, represents only "minor" importance. thats in everyone else's eyes
Barmy, "thereal" league will be back...and two years is plenty.
"T"he rest of you, to old friends "G'day"...to new friends Hello & welcome to "thesqueaks" forum, in the guise of Lee's "THE-WOLF....Not important you say Quirk!

I cant resist saying we did "NOT WIN" the majority either. It's all a mater of perspective. You are still THE Squeak to me though.

Well, as I've pointed out many times in the past, we stayed up last season because 3 teams were worse than we were. I'll ask the question again, who will be worse than us this season? Pre-season means nothing you say, but they're still competitive games between professionals who want to win, & we've just lost TWICE to mid-table championship mediocrities. Foley touted as the midfield solution, Ward still seriously considered as a Premier League left back, a collection of signings from the relegated and Belgium, where do you get your optimism from? Jarvis looks fit for purpose, as do Zubar and Doyle; Fletcher may improve the team but not in the 4-5-1 we'll revert to after a couple of early defeats. My prediction: 18th.

Fletcher is well able to drop deep on the left in a 4-5-1 with Jarvis playing down the right. In fact this is the way I would like to see us line up in the opening game.
I'm hoping that Mick will keep the 4-5-1 until either Hunt or Kightly are fit.Get some points on the board first.
